My Philosophy Of Education
Through this submission, I will address my understanding of philosophy of education. The first thing that strikes my mind when I think about education is gaining knowledge. Education is a tool which provides people with knowledge, skill, technique, information and enables them to know their rights and duties toward their family, society as well as the nation. It expands vision and outlook to see the world. It develops the capabilities to fight against injustice, violence, corruption and many other bad elements in the society.
Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. It develops in us a perspective look at life. It is the most important element in the evolution of the nation. Without education, the person will not explore new ideas. It means one will not be able to develop the world because without ideas there is no creativity and without creativity, there is no development of the nation.
The main aim of education is the development of a student's, it helps them be more productive people who use their own knowledge, talents and learned skills to sustain themselves and help others. However, there are different aims of education like social aim, cultural aim, moral aim, intellectual aim, etc.
Education helps students understand and appreciate themselves as unique individuals who accept complete responsibility for their thoughts, feelings and actions also to help the learner become fully his authentic self.
There are several methods of education that we can depend on while teaching like lecturing through verbal transmission of knowledge and information to the children. Although, discussion is one of the methods through debates with the aim of identifying and solving problems. Not to mention the question and answer method which need to put emphasis on electing questions From the children and the presentation method that lets the children present feelings, opinions, or investigating results obtained through individual or small group study. In addition, revision and experiments are methods of education.
Education system cannot function efficiently and effectively without a curriculum. An effective curriculum provides teachers, students, administrators and community stakeholders with a measurable plan and structure for delivering a quality education. The curriculum identifies the learning outcomes, standards and core competencies that students must demonstrate before advancing to the next level. Teachers play a key role in developing, implementing, assessing and modifying the curriculum. An evidenced-based curriculum acts as a road map for teachers and students to follow on the path to academic success.

However, in education teachers have a very essential role, most especially in the lives of the students they teach in the classroom. What defines a teacher is his/her ability to teach students and a positive influence on them. A good teacher helps us to become good human beings in the society and good citizens of the country. Because teachers know that students are the future of any country. From schools, colleges, to universities, students need teachers everywhere to guide them to share their future. In spite of having the personality of a strict person, they are kind hearted and loving for their students. Due to all these reasons, the role of a teacher as an important factor in one’s life can’t be ignored.
As learners, students play a crucial and active role in education.
